From problem to built solution

## *Engineering from Rostock.*

Warnow Design is an engineering consultancy in Rostock for maritime engineering. We design and calculate for shipbuilding, offshore engineering, structural steel and mechanics.

We provide marine engineering services to shipyards, shipowners, grid operators, energy companies and industrial companies.

We produce calculations, 3D models, production drawings and technical documentation for each project phase.

Our departments work closely together. This outside perspective brings experience from other projects and industries into new designs.

### Feasibility comes first.

We develop designs that can be calculated, fabricated and assembled. We weigh the effort of each optimisation against the benefit. We speak openly about technical limits, risks and alternatives.

Boundary conditions first

## *We calculate the water too.*

Operating conditions determine what a structure has to withstand. A ship in the Baltic faces different loads from one operating in the Pacific. Salinity, ice loads, temperatures and sea states differ considerably.

These factors affect material selection, corrosion protection, structural sizing and the design life we assume.

What we define at the start of the project

- Operating area
- Load cases
- Environmental conditions
- Operational requirements

On that basis we develop the design and carry out the structural analysis. We check loads, materials, fabrication methods and assembly sequences.
